Hands in the air, fingers drooping
I play the opus that I wrote
My hands speed o’er the fancy font
Striking, madly, each subtle note

In my rickety rocking chair
I show a mad composers face
My audience then quickly hushes
I put my toddlers in their place

I find myself borrowing the beat
To the background Barney blather
Later, inches from the tele
I idolize young Jerry Mathers

‘K fine I meant Jerry Springer
I’m sure in a benevolent mood
Sometimes that distortion thingy
Reveals something in the nude

How did I get off the subject?
I’m a fine opus creator
Bill the Cat shred all my poems
The good ones- wow such a tater

I'm sure it sounds just awful.
Nice reading though

How odd--(not the poem though it is as well)  but when I made my reply it did not bump this up--- it stayed on page 2---?????

trying again

*grin* Me likes mucho, Walto....Doonesbury and it's Outlandish spawn. How well could I see the penguin in his tux as Bill runs for president again (wish he would've won 8 years ago) while younguns with curiously shaped nasal appendages idolize a purple molester and a molester exposer, that Purple-Peeple-Pinchin Critter.

The mad hatted decomposing composer rocking idly wildly to the 'i hate everyone' anthem creating moribund scenarios for the tiny tater tots who love blood much more than purple, especially if it's shed by the deserving, or those deserving of having shed blood, or both...you never know with some kids...as the familiar familial ideals are skewed on-stage, on-air, where Leave it to Beaver is censored due to adult content and the chillins just stare and stare, eyes superglued to the screen like a worker to a beam, legs waggling like upset tortoise flailing to gain purchase in this hurly-burly world suspended 10-stories up and creating more to wile the day away.....
