October wind is blowing
Scattering leaves upon the ground.
On this quiet day
Their rustling is the only sound.
Night-chilled air is warming
A new day has just begun
And the morning sky is lighting
With the rising of the sun.

Crystal tears are flowing down
Like dewdrops of the morn
But hardly they provide relief
From sadness, newly borne.
Crying out, a heavy heart
And torn and broken soul
Are realizing now that they
No longer can be whole.

Tear-filled eyes gaze 'cross the land
And watch the sun arise.
Today, a soul went home to God
And dwells within the skies.
No longer on this mortal earth
He looks down from above
To watch over his family
And guide them with his love.

First of all ditto what Ethome said ( I am not being lazy it is just so hard to find the words to sum up my feelings for this poem, a sense of love mixed with pervailing hope) and secondly a big hug... I will sign off by saying excellent poem.
