Rolled the sun 'cross azure skies,
Then all the light in darkness dies,
Hushed the tolling, muffled bells,
As ebbing of the day foretells,
Advancing clouds in pending storm,
Marauding spires, in towering form,
Brooding silence; 'fore distant rumbling,
Majesty of welkin's humbling,
Air of evening; sultry balm,
Gusting winds sweep 'way the calm,
Lightening dancing, sword-blades thrusting,
Heaven to earth in flame combusting,
Torrents of a ocean squall,
Across the land, doth Ares brawl.
Sodden land in floods afield,
As gods of heaven, deluge yield.

'bout broke my neck to open this..seeing your name is like seeing a big neon sign that says "superb poetry inside"...

and that sign would be right. You never fail to write something wonderful to read. I enjoyed this so much!

Thank you all for the very gracious and kind replies.  They are truly appreciated. After a dry summer, it is nice to have a little rain.
