Some do and some don't

Our lives are like a catalogue
Of all that we have said and done.
A little like a travelogue
Directed by the skies and sun.

We try to do the best we can
And some succeed and some do not.
And some will try to make a plan
And some will do and some will not.

But all are affable in dream
Where the impossible is done.
For this is where we plan and scheme
Regardless of the sky or sun.

And I have sailed this argosy
Have scaled outrageous facts of go
Have sung the song of primacy
Sewed aspires ipsofacto.

Felt agony and ecstasy
In triumph of a fantasy.

"argosy":a large merchant ship: a fleet of ships

"ipso facto":by that very fact or act : as an inevitable result

My eyes danced across this poem of wisdom and grace
and its cryptic, cool, message brought a smile to my face
and I do so adore poetry that makes me think
and I do so adore the way you write and the way you wink
and as I searched for the meaning of the words ...
defining the things "we do and dont do"
in the poets bible by Webster...next to Wisdom and Cool ...
I just had to smile ... for there I found a picture of you.

*winkiewinkie*

THIS POEM ROCKS and is one of my new favs of yours...way cool dont touch it...
but this poem is just so very cool in its deliverance and its wisdom.
yet another one for my SY-GUY files...

Seymour~
Man ... you DO !
And I gotta love a poet that can work
ipsofacto into his rhyme scheme !

You are just the bestest !

perfectly stated... this poem has to be a design for life...

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".

Seymour, is this where Nike got their inspiration from for their Just do it slogan? I loved it much.
