Seasonal Awakenings

Leaves are twirling, gently falling
Winter’s approaching, softly calling
Closing slumbering Summer’s door
‘Til Spring awakens her once more

What lies behind us and lies before us are small matters compaired to what lies within us.

I love the simplicity and the verses, the blending of all four seasons as you have described them, Ruth.

"When red-haired girls scamper like roses
over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey.""

I would expect no less from such a well-seasoned poet

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect; it just means you've decided
