Tears had fallen, angry words spoken
Our souls opened and our hearts broken
~*~
Then in a moment we fell to the pain
We came to the crossroads....leave or remain
~*~
The answer would be either bandage or knife
The single most important decision we’d make in our life
~*~
You looked into my eyes as I opened my heart
One final chance to end....or to start
~*~
Locked in silence for years...keeping part of me from you
But now there was no question...I knew just what to do
~*~
It was time to release the chains...free these bars
I’d let you unlock the doors and heal the scars
~*~
Seeing each other finally...from the inside out
The decision then to try...came without doubt
~*~
Hope shined bonding your heart and soul to mine
The answer was so clear.....we’d make it...together this time

Seeing each other finally...from the inside out

=======================

that line says it all my SS of heart ...
life doesnt always offer second chances ..
we can only grow and learn from the things we
discover in ourselves when one does come our way ...
gently written poem of a promise to be kept ...
beautiful reflection of your heart...
but then what else can we expect from a butterfly  HMMMM???
yayayaya I KNOW ...(can you say mood swing)LOL
me aint scared (much) hehe

Perfect deplay of the indecision in many relationships, and the turmoil to come out the other side.  Looks like you have done it. I wish you great happiness.

So very happy for you both my friend.  I know that you two will make it and I am smiling very big.

====================================================

Share Your Gift

The time has come from all you have learned
For you to share all the things that you have yearned
The gift is you and all that resides within your soul
All the trials and tribulations that have taken their toll

This is where all this care with you has been driven
This is why the love bestowed upon you has been given
You now know the strength that is encased in your being
As you begin your new life; finally, for the first time seeing

You have been taught how to love and to let one love you
You have reached the pinnacles of stars from honesty's view
You hold within your heart the power of tomorrow's glow
So go and teach all the lessons of love you have come to know

There is "one" residing within the reach of your beautiful wings
Sharing the garden where the heart of the butterfly so often sings
Trust in the heart within you and the one so close at your side
Love to learn and learn to love with the one in which you reside

There are the stars of that one night in which we forever hold
The story of two becoming one kissing warmth from eyes so cold
Poured forth from salted tears resting on that deck in luna's light
We forever touched as soul-mates were joined in that forgiving night

To reach the crossroads, to recognise the opportunity and then to grasp hold of it. Well done my friend, you know my thoughts are with you.

Wonderful poem, butterflies!  And, good luck, too!!  It always works out when you try it together.
