More Than I've Ever Heard

I have heard the words I Love You
hundreds of times and more,
but I have never heard them said
without saying words before.

I have seen the words I Love You
written with care upon a line
but never have I seen it before
in eyes of blue so fine.

I have heard those words spoken
along with "I'll be there for you"
but never have I felt them
or believed they were so true.

I can hear it in your heart
I feel the way you look at me
and if this is what love is
then let it be shared by we.

Softly you whisper my name
while gently you touch my face
you soothe a once shattered soul
all doubts leave without a trace.

You have said so many things
barely ever saying words
volumes of love your heart speaks
is more than I've ever heard.

On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free.
