This poets pen has
   wandered
Through love and lust
   and pain
Through friendships
   and through anger
Then back to love
   again

This poets pen has
   touched upon
The glories of a
   butterfly
All the wisdoms of
   a child
And of clouds wallpapering
   the sky

This poets pen has
   given birth
To fantasies
   and strife
To laughing rhymes
   that make no sense
To the ugliness
   of life

This poets pen has
   spun some dreams
Has asked you questions
   Maybe changed some ways
Has offered shelter
   through your pain
And has brought you
   laughter on dark days

And when the day
   finally comes to be
When these words simply
   cease to exsist
You'll know thats the day
   God called to me
And theres no need
   of this poets pen

2000

For you

A long time ago
When a soft wind did blow
The grass in meadows so plentiful
Was a lonely Unicorn so beautiful

She searched for love to hold
Because the moons were getting old
While the rains began to pour
She was too tired to search anymore

Then the clouds began to dissipate
And through the sky came her mate
As the sun warmed her heart and said hush
Quietly she trotted with her love Pegasus

Well done, Paula.  My applause to you!
