The Worst Poetry You Will Ever Read

the worst poetry you will ever skim
will come from the blankest of pens
from a mind which has gone awry
because of the tears in his eyes

the day his love died

he will not be able to shed his soul
of the sorrow and the guilt
all of which was once built
on the pedestal of his own roles

for his love that died

and she, remorseful, will never know
that passion which should make her glow
because she couldn’t find the wend
to make the words come flow again

for her love that died

then the adages that were built
to keep the bridge even from its tilt
before the world would collapse
and wishing for Cleo’s asp

for her love that died

so from them the worst of all poetry
was blank from the love that died, you see…

At first, I thought this was going to be about me! LOL   But seriously, this was beautiful and sad. The last lines were a good ending to the poem.

Mr. Yeats, laughing softly with you..."great great" and comments like that, duplication of word, is how I often speak...thank you for the smile...

Sven, Charisma, thank you for your comments and for checking in...and leaving your calling cards...

I've always said, a bad poem is better than a blank page.
For then there is nothing to say
And you said it so beautifully

Can any effort from the heart ever really be bad?  I think not.  Wonderful piece from you my friend.

So right, Mark...it is amazing what one will do for the right cause...so better to have lived with, then without...and an effort made, than not...

Thank you Kelly!
