Watch Out, Watch Out

Watch out, watch out!
There's some spooks about
Dressed all alike in flowing gown
They've been up, they've been down
They've flitted all over town
But tonight, Oh tonight
I think they're chasing me

Watch out, watch out!
There's a strange witch about
Ste's been here, she's been there
I thought I saw her on the stair
No! I'm not scared I really don't care
But tonight, Oh tonight
I think she's put a spell on me

Watch out, watch out!
The dear departed are about
Rattling their chains of sin
They've been out, they've been in
I'm sure there's one, there by that bin
But tonight, Oh tonight
I think they're scaring me

Watch out, watch out!
The wicked devil is about
He's using his temptation tool
He's been hot, he's been cool
He's certain I'm gonna play the fool
But tonight, Oh tonight
I know he's come for me

Watch out. There will be more than devils and ghouls coming for you, after writing such a great poem.

Melton, thank you very much, I'm very glad you liked it, it's the first one I've ever written for halloween. It's not an event that's as popular here in England. We tend to concentrate on November 5th, firework night. So I'm pleased it came out okay!

Tracie, (that's it I'm hiding in the cupboard now just in case!!) Thank you I'm pleased, very pleased that you think it's not bad.
               Oooooooh
                   !!!
Take care

SEA, Oh my! So now I'll hide under the duvet, as well as in the cupboard, anyone want to join me in here? I'll make it really cosy, oh with plenty of lights.

Bill, thank you, as if I'm not scared enough!!

Mark, a cowboy? Well I'm sure it's possible, but we don't get a lot of calls for cowboys in Kent. Unless they also double as farmers!!
Thank you my friend, I'm glad you liked it

Paula, thank you, I'm glad you liked it, and happy it made you smile.

Charisma, sure love, come on over, I'll throw a party, (In the cupboard?) No it'll be fun, we'll bring bonfire night forward. Loud noises are supposed to chase the spooks away, right? Okay now how many for baked potatoes and loads of fillings? Oh and I definitely won't forget the spiced punch!

Victoria glad you liked it, and a smile is supposed to work at keeping the monsters at bay, I hear too.

Take care
