A voice so harsh spoke aloud.
      The words were sharp, dissecting.
They spoke of the human color,
Yet the words were gray and lifeless,
      Born of ignorance.
I may have stopped to question his hatred,
      Tempted to debate his judgment,
      But instead moved on,
Knowing my words would be lost on deaf ears.
      Knowing a fool never learns.

Isn't that just the way it goes? I know I sure haven't learned yet. Well done, Ron.

Ron-Glad you moved on, I always felt the only prejudice I had was towards ignorance, and that is so hard to talk to someone about.
Very nicely written.

Its hard to persuade someone to view things in a different light when they refuse to open their eyes in the first place. Ron

Ron~

Great poem.  I like the message and the thought.  People are too stubborn to open their eyes sometimes.. but it does happen.  Take care, Cassandra

There is more than one way of being blind...and you cant make someone see who doesnt want to...all you can do is be sure your sight is open and true
