Tell Me Something!

How many times have I told you,
And in how many different ways?
Have you been paying attention?
Are you lost in an unintelligible haze?

Haven’t you heard it in my words?
Haven’t you seen it in my eyes?
Haven’t you felt it in my presence?
Do you think your senses are lies?

Don’t you know why I’m always around?
If I weren’t, would you even care?
How do you think I can stand this?
Do you think your silence is fair?

How much longer till you tell me what,
For oh so long, I’ve longed to hear?
How far off is that ecstasy,
Or the rejection that I fear?

Are you ever going to hear me?
Are you ever going to reply?
Maybe I shouldn’t pursue this...
Maybe I shouldn’t even try.

Love is the law, love under will.

jlocke, I was getting quite frustrated and loud as I read this in my head. If you've done all this, and still don't have a response, I would check for a pulse.

Perhaps the silence is your answer?

I enjoyed the read, but it's a terrible situation.

Best Wishes
Jon

There are times we think we're being clear as glass and, in reality, we still are being obtuse....maybe????

At any rate, the feelings expressed I can truly understand.  Good write.

Jon

Silence is worse than any attack of words.
But you are right, her silence is my answer.
It's like she used to say, "The sound of nothing really is something"

Sometimes...yes, but this time...no.
Thank you much.  It's comforting to know people understand.

My dove, always a pleasure to hear from you!
Thanks for the hug.  I needed it.

Silence is that glaring look you get without the words, the slap in the face without the hand.   Ron

I'm not sure I deserve anything more than what I have.  I have a lot.  She is already my best friend.

Beth
Thank you for the encouraging words.  I hope all fairs well with you, too.

  Very true words, indeed.

Ironically, I saw her last night, and in my sorrow I said much of nothing.  She started to explain how she hates this silence, and wanted to say anything to make it go away.  Why can't she say what I want to hear?

peppermint35, maybe I have been being obtuse.
