Morsels,
Like chocolate sins,
Delve into,
Sugary thoughts.
Dipping,
Diving,
Deliciously craving,
The air of memory,
That once was lost,
In unquenched fires.
Melted,
Dripping,
Moving like wax,
To the slow paced lick,
Of bonfire flames.
Barbeque,
And nightime air,
Surrounding green lawn chairs.
These are the days spent,
While Autumn is saying,
A long goodbye.

My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber.

'These are the days spent,
While Autumn is saying,
A long goodbye.'

Another great ending, Temptress!  I love it!!

WOW!   I didn't expect this many responses to this. Let me just say a gracious thanks to all who have read it so far! I'm glad someone is enjoying my work!

Jenn - so I find it with my own posts - some I'm so proud of - getting limited response - others I don't hold in high regard - elicit a flood of compliments.
I almost passed this - so glad I didn't.
The feeling it gave me only comes from great poetry

Evening Temptress,

Pleeese bring back Autumn, for I do not wish to see Old Man Winter rear his ugly head, at least to me. Very nice write.
