Tears that stain

Your love is like rose that’s dying,
All alone in the pouring rain,
The wind will blow,
And the petals fly.
The rose is gone.
But the thorns remain.

You’re waiting for the sun to rise,
To brighten up the cold gray skies.
Yes, the clouds will part.
And the sun will shine,
But you can’t see, because you’ve closed your eyes.

So won’t you look my way.
Only I can ease your pain.
From all the sorrow,
From the tears that stain.

Beautiful, only a loving heart can ease the pain you speak of. She would be wise to hear yours speaking..

'So won’t you look my way.
Only I can ease your pain.'

It's so hard when we know the answer to their problem, but they just won't let us help.  Excellent words, Ron!  I really enjoyed it!

I liked this, the right look can certainly make a rose bloom again, I love poems about roses!  Welcome to the forum
