The Coming Storm

I stared outside my window,
From safe within my shroud.
A warm wind is blowing,
Making dead leaves dance,
Beneath the stormy clouds.
A rolling thunder echoes,
Sending tremors up and down my spine.
Branches rattle ghostly,
And the wind begins to whine.
A flash of lightning bursting
Into the open night,
Silhouettes are now dancing,
A vision to incite,
A face reflected, for a moment,
Upon my window pane.
Your eyes stare back inviting,
From beyond the coming rain.
A whisper calls me softly,
Although there is no sound,
As a warm wind blows,
Making dead leaves dance,
Beneath the stormy clouds

Ron,
Let me welcome you to Passions, this is the place to open your heart. This is a very moving poem, the hurt inside is deep. Cheers.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Ron,

Wow, what a powerful and eerie entrance you have made here.  The imagery is haunting in this one.  Very nice writing.

Welcome to our Passions family.  I think you will fit right in.

a very easy, wonderful read and I felt a little warmth within the storm, as the dead leaves danced around.   Wonderful.   Star

RonFox~
Welcome to the Passions family.

I found this to be tenderly reminiscent
of memories worth keeping ...

'A whisper calls me softly'
Lovely thought.
