How fragile the balance of good and bad
How narrow the difference of pain and pleasure
How jolting the agony of reality
How exquisite the pain!!!
Some wounds go straight to the soul
Some words cut like a knife
Some things cannot be overcome
How black is soul's blood as it drains
So cold and so pleasantly numb
So dies hope
I would scream if I had a voice
I would cry if I had tears
I would rage if I had the will
All that's left is silence.......

peppermint, This is superb.
Agreeing, there is a fine line; I have to remember, as long as I have a line, I have a choice.   Star

'I would scream if I had a voice
I would cry if I had tears'

Peppermint,
This is very well written, so much feeling shown here.

"I would scream if I had a voice
I would cry if I had tears
I would rage if I had the will
All that's left is silence......."

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Silence....
something that is always around,
but hard to find.
loved and enjoyed reading it.

HUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHH!!!!!

I can here this one sneaking up on me.
I liked this one Peppermint35. I read it a couple of times and it's just something about your words that rang so true.  It seems that this poem tells how I have felt many times in the past.
Great Write.

Let me thank you all as a group!!!

This child is an adult child who has a serious drug problem/health going downhill very fast...it's one of those get clean or get dead situations....the thought of that being the end result...makes for a pain so great, there is only silence..

some people say that humanity is defined by its suffering.  This too will pass, hope will return and things will be bright again.
