Untitled, undone

Like a moth to a flame
I’m drawn to your soul
Even with all the memories,
Loving you took its toll

No longer the woman I once was,
Although I wish I were
My friends keep asking me
What I did with her?

Locked away in the dark
Safe from all the hurt
Grimy from the mud she flung,
Tear streaks in the dirt

Held captive in a prison
She cries out from her hell
Drowning in the copper water
In the wishing well

Taking back every penny
She ever wished upon
Praying for strength to let go
Instead of holding on

I chronicle her mission
And pen the lines in verse
Knowing that she won’t undo
The bindings of this curse

Her love for him
too strong, too great
A battle that won’t be won
Lost between love and hate
Sick of darkness, but fears the sun

The poem sits, untitled
And I lay here, undone

Tara, you have spoken from my heart. Wow, this is so intensely sad, and lonely. I know just how you feel, I am undone too.
Take care. I think in reality, we will stop loving them to some extent. And it will stop hurting. It has to.

Tara* The pain in this was so blinding...you
used that pain to create a very beautiful
poem and through poetry my hope is that you
will also find the healing...excellent work~

Temporarily undone, she wears the title of courage beside her name of honor and respect, and with it she undoes the "undone"
Very moving poem

Thank you all for your kind words.  They mean so much to me.  I don't know what I'd do without the love from Passions family.  Having all this support at this difficult time in my life helps more than you could know.

Sven, a candle in the dark to help light my way...just what I needed.  Thank you for being my friend.
