You've Never Met So How Can You?

But you've never even met I've heard them say
So I tell them that we will one fine day
My sister tells me that I'm acting the fool
Still she would she's never felt this pull
I can't explain how I feel about you
They don't understand how I know it's true

They've never sat by the screen at night
Waiting for your whisper a beacon of light
Feeling you touch right down to my toes
The breath of your smile and my heart glows
We don't speak in voice, or use the telephone
I've only ever heard you tender loving tone

I can't tell, for they'll never really know
How reading your words makes my spirit flow
I don't expect them to understand how I feel
The way we almost touch stops my breath still
How I can feel the touch of your hungry mouth
Why the thought of you sends my mind south

So until the day of my dreams comes to life
I'll just have to cope with the constant strife
If it takes a while, which it's bound to do
I'll live with my dreams and thoughts of you
My fingers that caress these plastic keys
Some day soon will touch my love, you'll see

WOW-You have touched onto the power of cyber relations very strongly and very profoundly.  It is amazing how the pull can be so strong whether it be across a state or two or whether it be around the world and back. Excellent penning my friend.  Now, they are going to vote on yours are they not?

Dear Marsha, So well written and emotions conveyed!!  ..and my two cents worth, it's your life and whatever brings you life, cling to it, if it brings you hope...maybe, he will soon find you hiding out. (smile)Marcy

Mark my friend, yes cyber relationships are just as strong and ordinary ones. I sometimes think they're stronger, because they have to be. I'm glad you liked it, a thanks for reading it I do appreciate it always.

Macy I'm really glad you enjoyed this, and I thank you for stopping by.

An interesting and romantic post...you know I did once fall in love with a woman I met thru the internet and after about ten months she totally rejected me...we never met face to face...I suppose love uses all methods available...I'm not saying it won't work only that it didn't work for me...it still takes two with the same heart...I have never fell in love with the woman next door either...I once dated the woman that lived across the street from me for about six months...seems to have the most luck with women that live five to forty five minutes away...ha..James

James, some people like this girl whom you spoke of, don't understand the first thing about feelings. And I'm not saying that meeting someone on line is the ideal solution either. Personally I think that someone who's a friend is the ideal person to fall for. Still we can't pick and choose where love will strike, because if we did, then life would be a whole lot easier. Thanks for reading James, and thanks for sharing, still i know you're having better luck now!!
Take care

Marsha, I recognize this feelings so well.....never thought that it could happen with me either, but I felt in love online.....and the feelings are indeed stronger than in RL...and I know also the feelings when it end....and they are just as true as in RL.

I also know some couples, who meet online they are going to married this year, and in the springtime....it worked for them.

I wish you strength....and hope that your wishes come true.

Marsha!!

Eloquently and marvelously stated!  I always think about family, they have never understood me before, can't expect them to understand now either!  LOL!

May the gentleman you long for be worthy of all that you are!

Charisma, mmmm you are so right on line is as strong as off line, no doubt about it. I hope that we all have happy endings, I can't say I guarentee it, because there's nothing in this world that's a guarenteed certainty. All is possible, and nothing is impossible, now hows that for positive thinking.
Thank you for your reply, I know you understand.

Dee, Oh love, yes the longing, and sisters what do they know! I knew you'd understand this one, I knew it. Glad you liked it love, and I'll E you soon I promise. Take care love

How can anyone else know what your heart feels???  If they read these words; then perhaps they could see.

And I know it can be!!!  It truly can be!!!
