I Never Meant To Make You Cry
~*Marge Tindal*~

I never meant to make you cry
or cause one tear to fall
I never wanted to leave your side
for so long you were my all

Falling away from each other
in distance through the years
I had to go - this you know
before I shed your tears

Faith moves mountains for some
and for me it was this time
Though I never meant to make you cry
this heartache is also mine

Somewhere we will meet again
perhaps on a train of thought
Should you shed a tear of remembrance
rest assured it will be caught

For every memory has a place
in a heart that it calls home
Your memory rests in mine
You do not cry alone

You have written of my heart and life my friend.  Your words echo through my soul tonight.  You are so right, those tears are always caught . . . no matter where the road leads us.  Fabulous work.

I know you never really meant to make me cry.
I know that I'm the one that you adore.
I know you didn't mean to split my head
Wide open as you pushed me out the door!

I know you never meant to sprain my neck.
That collar was just too tight, anyway
And when the gravel cut into my face
You didn't mean to throw me down that way.

When that car door slammed down hard on my hand
And I ducked as my suitcases flew by
I'm sure that you felt badly that your aim
Caused one of them to hit me in the eye.

I know you love me more than words can say
And there's no one who loves you more than I.
The doc says I will walk again some day...
I know you never meant to make me cry

Yeah ... I know.
You're such a sweetie !

ButterfliesDC~
Sweetie, so many little muses brought this
one to my inkwell tonight ...
it just had to be written.
Thank you for your sweet reply.

Vicky~
I'm just sure someone - somewhere needs it tonight.  Thank you.

CatalinaMoon~
Pleased to touch yours, my friend.
Be happy.

LoneWolf~
Somehow, perhaps it's meant to reach many
on this night ...
glad to touch you.

Balladeer~

For your clumsiness
I'm not to blame ...

My doctor son says thanks
My physical therapist daughter says the same
My lawyer son says you don't have a case
and my son the psychiatrist says he's heard your name

The stock I own in Kleenex Corp
rose for a 3/4 point high ..
All because I made you bawl
and spill all those tears from your eye !

Thanks for supporting the family
Though I never meant to make you cry
We appreciate your infirmities
Trust me ! ... we're gonna bleed you dry !

*Ya' gotta love a man with such sentimentality !
LOVE YOU .... and you darned well know it !

LoriJaye~
Welcome to Passions.
This one is sure reaching hearts tonight.
Smile -  You're gonna love it here !

(And I will not sit here at work with tears falling, I won't!) That's it, I've got to go and mop them up now.

Marge,

Somewhere we will meet again
perhaps on a train of thought
Should you shed a tear of remembrance
rest assured it will be caught

For every memory has a place
in a heart that it calls home
Your memory rests in mine
You do not cry alone

This is so sad, so beautiful.  You are a master weaver of words.  You have reached deep within heart and soul.  You have brought me peace and tears.  Thank you!
