Flames Of Love In The Morning

As the sun paints the sky with morning hue
The pink and gold streak across azure blue
Your morning smile reflected in your feathered kiss
My foolish heart flips over and threatens to miss
I'm enthralled with you as I can ever be
Oh my love please tell me what you've done to me?

My eyes are open, can't pretend to be asleep
You stole my heart, my soul is yours to keep
Your breath soft as a whisper fans my heated cheek
Please beloved tell me, show me what I seek
Encased in lovers warmth I slowly, surely simmer
While your eyes bathes my skin in liquid shimmer

The steam that rises with lovers private dawn
Wreathes our bodies like mist in the early morn
Rising against you as you play our lovers song
My skin heats up, I show you for what I long
I'm urging the pace, and speeding the rate
Smiling you show me how tempting the bait

This flame of passion you so effortlessly evoke
Building the fires within that only you can stoke
I'm mindless with no sense to save my soul
With you I'm me, feel free I need no other role
Flames lick our skin as heat piles on heat
Until release, surcease, comes within a heartbeat

Marsha~
The entire poem was lovely, but for some reason
this little piece jumped out at me -

'My foolish heart flips over'

Just enjoyed the thought of it.

Passions Voice, glad you like this, thanks for replying. It's much appreciated.

Sven, thank you, really glad you liked this. Sizzeling, surely not, unless it's me? Maybe I've been standing a little too close to the flames? Yes that'll be it, you know what happens when marshmellow gets to near fire, it melts.

Marge, actually I like that line too, because that's exactly what happens. Thank you for your kind reply, and I'm pleased you stopped by.

Take care               Marsha

Charisma, are you sure you can hear sizzling? Well maybe I've just got used to the sound of the fire burning, or maybe I can't hear it over the sound of fireworks going off.
Glad you liked it
Take care
