I live this feeling
   every day
This golden glow
   of newfound joy
Its an emotion I
   tried to lock away
To save this heart
   from the pain
But love has ideas
   of its own
And I want to shout
   it from the mountaintop
Scream out to the world
   I love you
But I cant even whisper
   the words in your heart
Because you dont
   belong to me.
So call me foolish
   an irresponsible dream
You dont always love
   where you choose
Its not like I went
   in search of you
Just two hearts in
   passing felt the tug
And now I belong
   to you
And I want to shout
   it from the mountaintop
Scream out my love
   for you
But I cant even whisper
   in your heart
Because you dont belong
   to me.

Hi Paula...
Yes.....I know this feeling very well......and I especially relate to the line that says: "you don't always love where you choose". What a true statement!!!
This one is perfect!!

I can only assume an echo of the ladies before me. This piece speaks well of a love out of reach. Sad, but yes, so well expressed. Thank you.

Though it is a fact of life that there are some love's that are not allowed or meant to be it doesn't make it any easier to accept. You have penned it well.

Paula~
The heart doesn't always know the distance to the top of the mountain.

Sadly the echo isn't what one wants to hear.
*Hugs* for the thoughts.

Mark...you shouldnt regret any love you have given or recieved no matter where it comes from or from who...you just have to know when to let go and when to keep on fighting

This is beautiful; surely love given this sincerely will be its own reward; for despite the restrictions, love, in and of itself, is a wonderful thing

You have said it so very well

Isn't it sad when you can't share your heart with the one you want to? Ron

Paula,
You have just torn my heart apart. Remember I am here, and listening.

"And I want to shout
it from the mountaintop
Scream out to the world
I love you
But I cant even whisper
the words in your heart
Because you dont
belong to me".

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
