Of Myrtle and Myrrh is my love made
One day I shall rule the world
When passion and pride put death to shade
And ride with flag unfurled.

The patriot and the thief have seen
the joyride into hell.
Then will choose life, above the queen
But say, "my soul does well".

The conqueror and king doth serve the land,
they are not their own
And pierced by the bloody head and hand
The meek shall take the throne.

The throng that cries for vengeance now
Will soon cry peace e'er more
Weapons soon become the plough
Though demons seek the door.

Then death and life shall join as one
A king and priest I'll be
I shall then know I'm not alone
For grace gives victory.

Kethry, this is amazing, that such beauty should exist gives me hope. Oh this is so perfect, I love this. (And no wonder I missed your work because this is like all your others, sooooooo good) And maybe even better.
Take care

A lovely poem that enforces the hope that, light shall prevail darkness!

Wow this is breathtakingly good . You've done an absolutely fabulous job, I am glad I had the chance to read it . As always you have created a brilliant poem with an inspirational quality that could only have come from one of a few people . Loved it loads .

Hmmm--Kethry...I might have gone to a different level with this--but hey--you give great metaphor with this...one to think on.
Loved it.

Whatever you're doing keep doing it!

This is fantastic.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Serenity what level would you have gone to and how could I have taken it there?

Be well
