To Touch Your Lips to Mine
©2000 Christopher Ward

reaching
      sighing
-smile slightly skewed
     palm to knuckles,
skin to skin...
          slid gently up your arms
      feel
the tingling touch
        your blue eyes
   locked to mine
        -goose bumps
ticklingticklingtickling
     shivering your spine
          beneath my hand,
          brushing your hair,
      fingertips caressing
  the nape of your neck
          rubbing, feeling
          breathing, beating
   moving into
                a pulsing rhythm...
        until-
    it all becomes a dream
   of washed away cares
           then -
     leaning slowly in
to breathe a kiss,
to touch your lips...
          to mine

Well, I might say this warmed things up a bit!
Oh the excitement and anticipation of a kiss....
Mmm... to breathe a kiss
I love it from beginning to end....or should I say beginning to beginning   hehe
You've said it well Chris.

Christopher, Do you think it was wise to post this in a forum with so many ~ahem~ open, intelligent females? We have the power to hunt you down you know  ... heheh, kidding aside, this sent my mind to two interlaced extremes: OMG this is so SWEET! to OMG!... not to mention that it was brought on by some honestly beautiful writing. More! More! ... wait a minute, I might want to get to sleep tonight.

I see you've been kissing that blued eyes figure in the mirror again!  Sigh, what have I told you about that? - LOL  Geeze, you sure know how to bring the romance out in a kiss - Yuk!  What am I to do with you?  Uh, I liked this btw but hey, ain't it about time you started practicing on someone real?  Seriously - a well done write, Chris - makes me want/need to go kiss that someone special I have as I remember all to well the longing of such beforehand.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'll do just that.

Sheri - There are kisses, then there are kisses! This was about the latter.

Paula - Thank you lady - glad to warm you up!

Karen - It's only because you know the source and are properly scared.

Kathleen - Thank you. Every once in a while I do something right!

Beki - I take it that I did ok then?   Thank you for a glowing reply!

BWA - Yes, but only in my imagination. Thank you for your time!

Beth - Thank you for a smile brought instantly to my face. The thought of such a beautiful, intelligent and talented lady hunting me down, isn't quite the deterrent I think you were shooting for!

Snow - I think at least here and there, all of us have lived in an "Ice Castle." Most of us haven't dedicated a web site to it tho!

Kari - Bet you'd like to know!

Tracie - Thank you - Placing images in your head is the goal!

Maree - Will you quit calling me Christopher!?! Grrrrrrrrrr. Thank you for the reply tho!

SEA - So should I have waited a month or two for colder weather?

Philip - Presentation is everything. Wow - I'm impressed... especially since I know you have no feelings whatesoever! Thank you kind sir... ~smirk~

DG - tinglingtinglingtingling is good! Thank you!

Mike - You'd better watch it bud - I know... well, really not much, but that's besides the point. Yep - go kiss her, and give her a hug for me, eh?

Victoria - Tender kisses as well. Thank you!

Charisma - What an appropriately charming reply. My thanks!

Again - thank you all for the wonderful responses!

Chris

Gee...am I too late?

Looks like it...might go walk in some fields instead...do a bit o' nature spotting...commune with the bovines and suchlike...sit on a boulder and think...

or instead I could comment on this kiss of yours.

Or not-yet-kiss as the case may be.

Sweet anticipation indeed...how wonderful you...

You know you did well here C, those S's and L's work to create a river-flowed poem...I could go so far to say sensuous, romantic and beautiful.

might I add though I STILL think it needs a hyphen...

SEA - Then perhaps I chose the right time!

Sharon - You lady, are one of the few who can ALWAYS expect a kiss! (ms. blue eyes!)

Krista - Look at it this way... at least you HAVE someone!!!! Peace lady, and thank you!

Holly - So how about the location...? 'Member what I said...hehe

Karen - You, me, AND Sharon? I have died and gone to heaven! YAY!

Tara - Ahh yes - again, eh... errr... you weren't supposed to tell them about our first time!

Kamla - ??? What? You've completely missed the meaning behind this whole poem you twit! J/T of course!! Hugs lady - and no - no - hyphen - for - you - in - this - hehehe

Kit - You're not supposed to tell either! Geez! How's a guy supposed to woo all these women when you're all telling on me!?!   Thanks lady!

I don't think I missed the point...

Coincidence?  I think not.  My blue eyes are too pretty for you NOT to be talking about me.....

A sheep can only dream.....

But than again, perception could certainly be reality....isn't that what poetry is about?

I'm not being as cryptic as I should be.  Sorry.
