a collecting moment ...

when dark's specter
at last
on me calls
i shall beg
a collecting moment --
for in that short span
last words
shall i write
of the love
we have shared
and the life
we have sought

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.

MAMiller~
A marvelously done poem of ponderous thought.
Enjoyed this read.
