Distant Kisses

All I see is that little picture
It holds me close to you…
You the voice and words of nether
Beyond the touch of fantasy’s hue

I often wonder how you feel,
in rhythm of the lovers dual
Those lips of rose petal sweetness,
without their press, a death so cruel

I kiss the image, my distant heart dream,
This glass restrains your sweet imbue
And still I feel your lover’s passion,
behind the hardness of a cursed tube

Do you think of sinful kisses?
When lips will cross the space to you
Do you dream of celestial visions,
Polaris winks a subtle lover’s clue!

There stands a place beyond horizons,
where a winter and summer dance ensues
There lives the light of a poets lover,
who writes of distant kisses for you.

This is a dramatic display of passion, I really enjoyed this one.

Your poem is the personification of longing from afar. Tender, with a lovely touch of innocence...enough to melt any maiden's heart, I would think. Thank you.

Tricks maybe I should get the dust off the screen first...   I remember the practice thing, I wish I had someone to practice with. Then I take this dang cowboy hat off.

Dee, the internet is a curse to the imagination... reality is never as close as we want it.

dg, practice... ok just lean over and put your lips on that screen.

Loved it. Melted me, grabbed my heart from me then I find out that it was only in cyberland. That was tough to cope with.    If ones heart goes with that poem tied to great soft lips...send them this way my friend. PLY
