We met down by the sea
Was a warm sunny day
Cradled in your arms
I was
Upon the sand we lay
~~~
You held me closely to you
Whispered sweet nothings
in my ear
The waves rolled in
One by one
The sunlight
slowly disappeared
~~~
The moon softly crept
our way
As we still laid
upon the sand
Our bodies
enveloped as one
We searched
the skies expance
~~~
We wished
upon a star that night
Our wish
was to come true
My wish
was the same as yours
To spend my life
with you
~~~
To this day
we still meet by the sea
Wrap ourselves
in our own little world
Our bodies enveloped as one
Once again
In your loving arms I'm curled
~~~
Tracie, this is really lovely, it's beautifully written, and so full of tenderness. I too miss the sound of the sea, and I can't think of a better place to be than wrapped in love, with the waves softly shushing before you and the warm sun overhead. Mind you with this being England, you'd probably need to be wrapped in a duvet, and hold an umberella over your head. But I still miss it, whatever the weather.
Oh and I really love this poem.
Take care
Tracie,
How ironic, this is one of the great scenes, one that I really enjoy. Thank you so much to have reminded me of one of love's most wonderful feeling.
Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
