As I lay me down to sleep,
I reach for soft cloak of your keep...
I hug my pillow to my heart,
content within illusion, dark...

A whispered prayer,
to ward nightmare
and keep the agonies
at bay--
my soul is bare,
a hole is there--
I pray I'll sleep
through loveless day.

Serenity~

With feathered kisses
on your cheek
Lay you down in
angels keep
Cloak of loving
friendship stays
Spreading love
across your day

Love ya'

with you in mind throughout the day
love be yours and yours to stay
asleep, awake and forever more
serenity, slumber at heaven's door

smiles to you, gentle poet

My calling before me, let quill be my offering;
For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive.
