I wander,
wondering
the once happy streets
of May, why do the
painted broken lines no
longer count?
I watch them disappear
from under
my feet
to greet
me again tomorrow

wondering,
how memories are
trapped like sands in
recycled bottles,
placed somewhere
on a dusty shelf
silenced

I wander to
where the fall
of the sea dares
to bury the sound
of laughing, it dies
slowly within me,
the reed
the weed
drenched

Maree--You always color your thoughts so beautifully...

I wander to
where the fall
of the sea dares
to bury the sound
of laughing, it dies
slowly within me,
the reed
the weed
drenched

beautifully done!

Exception piece, Dark Angel.  Felt a hollow aching in reading this one.  Well done.

I am walking on that same beach with you, wandering, wondering. How very well put. This was perfect.

Wonderful work, as has already been said when you write I can feel your words.

Mmy...wow...

you know the bit that gets me:

wondering,
how memories are
trapped like sands in
recycled bottles,
placed somewhere
on a dusty shelf
silenced

I don't know...do you think they are really silenced? Either memories or bottles of sand. I have a bottle of sand - it holds memories too...neither of them are silent.

Hugs AoL for a marvellous, soul-stirring piece.

(Seriously - I need what you have - stuck in this block I am in...)
