De l'Amour

What's it all about?
What can I say of Love.
Some say it is a passion
sent from God above.
To others it is simply
showing one's Love.
I know it's not about hurting
the one you are with
when you find someone new.
It's more like waking up in the morning
with your sweetheart
knowing she truly cares for you
and she will always be there with you.
This is the kind of Love I cannot resist.
This is the Love I would sadely miss.
Love displays a precious beauty
and can surely be found within a kiss.
Love stand's out in a field of emotions
having a quality that quantity cannot address
Love simply goes with the flow
and seeks none to impress.
I feel as if I must offer
A toast to you mon amour.
May you beauty and grace
shine forth forevermore.

Oui, mon ami, c'est ce.
Love is indeed all of the things you describe.
A fine poem, this evening!

I enjoyed this ...Made me think of
"Whats it all about Alfie"..not sure if i spelled it right or not..i wont even try to explain what love is..but once it comes along it is sad when you have to let it go..whether you want to or not..

A truly romantic poem!  I like it a lot.    I hope someday I find someone with a heart like yours..

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

Thank you Sea, Trew, Victoria, Paula, Daniel, Charisma, Broken Winged Angel and Rosebud for the beautiful responses...
Paula I believe that you do know what Love is ...you just need to connect with a man that also know and appreciates...
Broken I am almost certain that you will find such a man or perhaps he will find you...thanks everyone...love your soft hearts...James

Agree with everyone, James. It's a beautiful thing, love, and it shouldn't hurt. Also, I have to agree with your comment on my poem. Yes, someday there is or will be another love, but why can't it be this one? Damn good question.
Take care
Sandra
