Fern branches dance gracefully above water lilies in the night along southern river banks drift flowered petals.. creamy white Secrets of the marshland haunt raccoons as they sleep the fragrance of magnolia intoxicate shadows as they creep Floral breezes within the marshes vibrates the palmettos the chorus within the leaves singing shivers of vibrato In the sanctuary of moonlight Two lovers ..canoeing out of site A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |
