Holly Blue's Song

Rope Orion and stretch it across the Milky Way
Paint fields of blossoms on the canvas of heaven
Use a thousand languages to find the words to say
Take a numeral in infinity and multiply it times seven

Capture a midnight tornado in the power of all it's might
Visualize the world as you would see through an eagles eye
Bottle the brightness from every star in this Autumn's night
Take the beautiful song of unicorns and mermaids that cry

Dive the depths of darkness encased in the bottomless sea
Pan for gold in the streams of angelwings in threads of lace
Count the needles in every haystack upon your bended knee
Peer into blackholes sharing tunnels from regions in space

If you were to do all of this with open eyes and tender heart
If you could just imagine the touch of what all of this brings
If you were to look into a butterflies soul each and every part
Then you would hear the song that Holly Blue's heart sings

Mark Bohannan

Mark,
You have done it again. So much effort, even though it seems effortless for you. You are a credit to Passions.

Mark my friend, just wait until the MBOOPAS see this, I can say without fear of contradiction that they will love this one. As if it wasn't enough that you've posted beauty on the site, you cap it again and again. Utterly amazing, if I were to scour the works of every master poet, I'd still not find one with half the ability you consistently display. Awesome, it truly is.
Take care

Wow!  You know, you read and you read and there are just so many good poems on this site, it is amazing.  And then you come across something like this and you just get blown away.  The images, the flow, everything about it seems so effortless, so natural.
Great poem, Mark, great poem...

Marsha,Sue,Pat,Fran,David,Delia,Mel,Jan,Kelsy, and Daphnie-Thank you all so very much.  I look forward to hearing from each and everyone of you each time.  Now, don't go choosing your favorite so early, there is still many weeks left in the year.LOL  Hugs to you all.

Wilfred-Now sir, you have put me in a dilema haven't you?  Thank you so much, I appreciate it but I know the reign will be short lived with you out there.

Oh Mark ... I'm so behind on my reading the last few days, but as they say, better late than never! I'm so glad I did not miss this incredible piece. Absolutely stunning, in both it's presentation and style. The descriptiveness brings such beautiful visions to mind ... wonderfully picturesque! Into "my" library this goes ...

Best wishes,

Kethry-She is amazing for sure.  Thank you much.

Marcy-Thank you dearly and for you to take the time to read again is the greatest compliment a poet could get, reply or not.

dgvarner-Yes, I do love my friend as she has taught me much in how special "TRUE" friendship can be and how "unconditional" it is.  Thank you so very much for stopping by.
