sudden nor'easter
shakes leaves from shivering trees -
steals light from the day.

The shadows lengthen -
morning leaves a fringe of frost
on front porch pumpkins.

Thanks everyone, it is great to be back...haven't been writing much and busyness of school (yep, gone back to school, something Ihave looked forward to a long time) and work have kept me away from as much time online.
