Breathless Passion And So Much More

Breathless we lie entangled in lovers net
Caught, enthalled by this constant flame
A burning desire that springs alive unbidden
This passion that affects us both the same
It swallows thought, consumes and compels us
Calling us to wander eternally in heavens lane

Contentment fills my soul with loves peace
Lying in sleepy wonder I fall into your eyes
Seeing reflected the flame burning yet again
Once more the smouldering fires begin to rise
i know that never will these flames grow cold
Amazed am I at finding loves everlasting prize

Laughing you allow me to succumb once more
Knowing that there's no losers in this fight
My heart yielded at your first tender kiss
And my soul with yours has taken wing in flight
Soaring to heaven to dance at angels song
All this I knew, understood at our first sight

Our passion is just a part of this loves delight
You're in tune with my lifes' rhythm, it's beat
You know my thoughts, my feelings as they appear
I know that you'd be true and honest, not a cheat
Our lives inter linked, like our limbs entwind
I thank you beloved for making my life complete

Marsha

Marsha!  I surely hope you've presented this to the lucky individual for whom it is written...what a gift!

Karilea, not yet I haven't, but very soon I shall. I'm actually at work, on a break but at work nevertheless. So as soon as I get the opportunity, I'll give him what he richly deserves.

Thanks Kari, for replying and taking the time to read it, so do you like it then?

What a strong, beautiful and insightful description of what it's like to LOVE! Great imagery here.

Emily, descriptive? Yes I believe it is, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.

James, thank you for replying, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think this time I might have just captured a tiny piece of what I was after. Still thanks for the compliment anyway.

Azure, I'm happy that you think so, but maybe my special someone, is the one to whom the compliments should go to. When I get the chance I'll let him know that this is the place to collect his accolades.

Beki, thank you, I'm glad that you took the time to read and leave a message. I do appreciated it, each reply is cherished. because I know there are so many far better poets here at Passions.

My friend, I do believe that you should be showing YOUR poems to the office as well.  The passion in this one sets the screen afire in the heat of breathless gasps...whew...excellent descriptive blaze of.... well... ya know...Just plain "HOT"

Mark my friend, I might have known you'd say something encouraging. I'm delighted that you think this is a 'warm' poem. My special someone tells me he likes it too, so maybe it's not too bad. As for showing the MBOOPAS this instead of what they are daily demanding, do you want your Pres lynched. Which is what I assuredly would be, if I tried to offer one of my own scribbles instead of yours.

So I thank you for taking the time to comment and read this, also for your encouragement, which I value greatly.
Take care

Marsha, this is Passion and so much more. What descriptions! Just beautiful! I think the last two lines say it all:

Our lives inter linked, like our limbs entwind                                      I thank you beloved for making my life complete

How lucky you both are!

~ Beth

Beth, I thank you sincerely, I certainly thank you for such a compliment. Personally, I give all the credit to my special someone, for if he didn't make me feel, I wouldn't be able to write it. So I thank him most of all, and yes I know that I am the lucky one.
Take care

Marsha~
When you are in touch with feelings that just flow to the page ...
it works !

It's the way to let it show !
I loved the easy way you let it out.
Good for you !
Enjoyed muchly.

Marge, I'm glad you enjoyed this. What can I say but thank you. You are so right the feelings just flowed, and still are, I'm happy to say.

Martie, I might have known you would be so nice to me, and I do appreciate it, I really do. I thank you most particularly because it must be so difficult for you to find time to do even the everyday tasks. So to take the time which you do not have, and use it here is so thoughtful.
Take care
