My name is Matt, write a poem for me
Charge me ten cents and set up a table
Please sign your name it’s worth lots you see
Sign one for Suzy sign one for Mable

You our fond idol you whom we worship
We rave and we roar. Girls tear their shirts
And each one desires to kiss your sweet lips
And nag you to write of love till it hurts

Then we all parted and went our own ways
Some went to college and some went to jail
You my good friend never cease to amaze
You write poems still hearty and hale

On the street corner dirty and dingy
I found you with friends you always did like
At your feet some relation of Benji
Write me a poem and I’ll spare you an Ike

Oh where did they say they found Mister Poe?
Fallen in the street of old Baltimore
“Congestion of brain” don’t think we’ll e’er know
If that's the fine wine bleeding through pores

My odoriferous colleague please rise!
Stand up, brush off, kick the organ grinder
Surely as back then when we would surmise
You were born to make e’en rainbows kinder

Who’s gotta dime
For this friend of mine!!!

Walt...

At your feet some relation of Benji

HAHAH

Sorry - that just gets me...that is cool.

And this:

Oh where did they say they found Mister Poe?
Fallen in the street of old Baltimore
“Congestion of brain” don’t think we’ll e’er know
If that's the fine wine bleeding through pores

Is rather profound-like...

Me likes this one..me does...

Walt,
These days you can get a lot for ten cents. Very different, very vivid poetry. I like it.

Walt,
From deep within your "wayout" psyche
you write poems that we all like(y).
Perhaps the "masters" you have read ?,
before you were dropped on your head?
Great stuff !
