Look at me,
Just once--
You'll see
Rivers of passion
Flowing within me,
Waiting to emerge
Like a love song
From a hopeless romantic.
Look into my eyes--
Can't you see
The evidence of what
We both know lives inside?
Slow dance with me;
I long to be close to you,
Holding me so in your arms.
The silence speaks
The language of love;
The serenity sings
The song of complete bliss.
Sing with me;
I need to hear your voice
Confirm the tune
On the tip of my tongue.
Lift me higher, Love;
For you are the one motivation
In my life.

Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: 'it might have been.' -John Greenleaf Whittier

Snowpants,
You are simply amazing, this is so beautifully written. Take it easy.

"Sing with me;
I need to hear your voice
Confirm the tune
On the tip of my tongue.
Lift me higher, Love;
For you are the one motivation
In my life".

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

I add my praises here, and also my agreement. I exactly know this feeling. And you have to think that he will someday see the offering in front of him. Why are men so dense? (present poets excluded of course)

Paula:  thanks!  glad you liked it!

Mark:  oh, I wish some other men had the sense that you do.  but, thanks for the compliments!

Daniel:  I am honored to receive such high praise from a fellow poet.  Thank you so much!  It means a lot to me.

Sandra:  thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!  And, to be optimistic, I don't think ALL men are as dense as the ones we seem to attract.

Amy:  I truly appreciate your kind words!  They are definitely inspiration to me!  Thanks!!

But, of course!  This weekend is the perfect time, being they are going to smash the Yankees then.  It would be perfectly fitting.

This spoke straight to the warm mushy part inside of me.. my heart.. very well done..

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

Snowpants, again and again you have an endless ebb of love and desire, often unrequited, but so tenderly portrayed in each submission. I do love each read. Please, keep these beautiful verses coming...

Nice one Snowpants,

'I need to hear your voice
Confirm the tune
On the tip of my tongue.'

Great line - I hope the man wakes up to what he's got real soon.

Best Wishes
