State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-10-16 08:03 PM

It's killing me
to tell you good-bye
To walk away
with these tears in my eyes
But I will remember
the promise we made
That in ten years
we'll find each other some way
This love that I feel
is forever
And I know someday
we'll be together
So, so long
my heart till then
Until we meet again

****************************

This was written for a very special, no, the most precious angel that God has ever put on this earth.

Darling,

You know how I feel about you and you know the reason behind this poem. I just wanted to say that I will always love you with all that I am and all that I will ever be. I will remember our promise to each other. To find each other ten years from now to see how each other is doing, if nothing else to say "I remembered". You will carry my heart with you everywhere you go.

Until we meet again...

All My Love,
Jeff

How beautifully sad.  I had planned to wait and read a little longer before posting any poetry of my own but this poem struck a chord in me.  I hope you'll read about my "Long Ago Love."

This is so tender and sorrowful Jeffrey ... yet holds such promise and hope for the future. A lovely tribute to someone you hold dear.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Jeff,

I am so very sorry to read this sad, but wonderful heartfelt piece Jeffery.  it is such a shame that sometimes the sadest moments of our lives, can bring out a poet's heart and talents like at no other time.

Hugs my friend.........

Wow.  Hmm...what to say? I usually tend to babble in replies so the fact that I'm speechless should be seen as a huge compliment! This was so very heartwrenching yet powerful and beautiful all at the same time. I'm amazed at how you managed to capture such wonderfulness in such a short piece of writing. Well done.

I understand, Jeff, and my thoughts are in the same place. SO hard to say goodbye, when you don't want to.
Take care.

Not many poems actually make me feel like crying, but this certainly did.
It is full of emotion and heartache.

took a lot of courage to post this one, Jeffrey.  Amazing to read and share your heart with millions of people. Take care of yourself..........
