Schoolboy

In one step I brush aside the world
and in one breath, I'm wrapped by
a whisper -- soft and coddling.

Like a schoolboy I'm whisked away
in a dream, writing your name in pastel
chalk across the blackboard of the
midnight sky.

Hanging my passions on your star,
I take a deep breath sipping the
quiet -- like a tonic, it heals me.
Lost, yet unafraid I travel effortlessly
within the sphere of light birthed by
your evolution.

So calm -- a traveler within the composition
of your heartbeat.
The rise and fall of your breath like the
seductive swaying of a baton in the
conductor's hand...I fall like silk across
your arms, unbound in the cradle of your care.

When there is love in the heart then the child in all of us has a tendancy to rise to the surface.  The wonderful feeling of freedom and joy in all we see and do.  Great read from from you.

RJ - i'm not to lazy to type or copy and paste - really - but Martie said exctly what I would say and not one word would I change -  I know this feeling - not in the past but the present - know how wonderful it feels - but you've said it most beautifully

.. gorgeous. The entire poem is just _gorgeous_. Robert Joseph, you make me wish
you had a crush on me, just to see my name immortalized on your canvas. *sigh* I should swoon.
