In the early morning mist, the cricket frogs play
On milky white lily pads, practicing their ballet
The jewelwing damselfly, in a silken web just spun
Narrowly escapes the spider, spinning in the sun
The whip-poor-will sleeping, in nest above the pond
Watching the red bellied turtle, eating sunflys so fond
The swallowtail butterfly, dancing in the air
Fluttering to the music, of crickets everywhere
The fragrance of honeysuckle, intoxicating so sweet
While vines of english ivy, climbing trees so discreet
The weeping willows dance,  lazily in the breeze
Another day in paradise, me and the ducks and bees

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

Good morning Victoria...
If your yard looks as beautiful and full of nature as this....I'll be right over!!!
How I love this one....you painted such vivid pictures full of peaceful natural scenes!

I can relate to this quite well ... I have three ponds in my courtyard with most everything you spoke of (no turtle)
I enjoy sitting out watching nature as she repays me in her own special ways

nicely written Victoria

Victoria,
I wish I could hear your voice reading out this poem. There is so much in here that connects with me. Love Love Love it.

"The weeping willows dance, lazily in the breeze.
Another day in paradise"

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

This was like a kodak picture being developed before my very eyes.  A true feast for the senses, it displayed a lot of work and the imagery was not overdone, but amazingly real. Good job, Victoria.
