Broken Angel Amy M. Kennedy People laugh at her because she is different... and not exactly like you and me But they are blinded by ignorance and stupidity... and don't really see She is so much more than her condition... she has a heart of gold And the grace and beauty she has... is a wonder for all to behold Yes she has trouble walking... and it takes her a little longer However she is much kinder than most... and you can bet abundantly stronger Never complaining about her life... she carries her held held high Never allowing others to shatter her dreams...she lifts her chin to the sky **************************************************************** But now someone has broken, ... this gentle angel from above And seems nothing can fix it..not even my never-ending love Who you ask could be so cruel... not her sister or her brother No in fact its no other... than her very own dear mother And the rage inside of me... burns threatening to tear me apart Her mother can't accept who she is... she wants me out of her heart So now my angel of a butterfly... lies broken and tattered And all my dreams of the future... completely torn and shattered ***************************************************************** I hold onto the last ray of hope I have... a small light at the very end And I turn to my angel in heaven... my mom, my very best friend Did I cause all this pain... am I the one whose to blame Hard to see through the forest...and I don't know if I'll ever be the same So I turn my strength to the Lord... and I pray to the sky Please let this love be enough... and stop these painful questions of why [This message has been edited by Aimster (edited 10-15-2000).] |

Aimie, another amazingly well written poem, you surely have a gift. As is love, a gift beyond price, so take care of the gift, and pass it on. My mum, (dippy though she was) always said, even if someone hurts you, give them back love, because they certainly need it. Take your strength, for you have it in abundance, and use it to hold tight to your love. Take care Marsha Sorry if I rambled a bit.  |

What an incredibly emotional read Amy ... so many thoughts, so many questions, very well penned. Who can say why hearts come together, be it ecstasy or agony at times, they become intertwined nonetheless. Try though we might for answers, take heart that it is never anyone's blame. you already know my feelings on this as well Am, possesive, controling love is never healthy or encouraging and nothing you have done caused this... Im quite sure this has always been a problem with this woman ... dont take the blame for her weaknesses ... but if her selfishness is hurting and breaking your "angels" spirit... then she needs to gotten out of the situation. again.. as i have said before.. you two are NOT children ... together you are strong ... take care of each other love ya me |
