Heart Entwined And Captive Soul

Lying drowsily locked in lovers hot embrace
Tired at last, utterly content to doze awhile
Fresh from the surging tides of lovers race
I gaze in silent wonder finding a secret smile
Oh my! catching my breath, I'm a hopeless case

My head lying softly across your naked thigh
Entangled in sheets scented with lovers spice
You summon my soul back from it's flight on high
I know that willingly I'd pay any asking price
I'd cross any barrier or at least I would try

My heart was yours to take right from the start
My soul, a prisoner of your eyes, couldn't fight
They both ceded victory to your shining heart
Wishing to spend eternity blessed by your light
Believing truly that from you they never will part

Wonderful imagery you've woven into this tranquil vision of love and trust Marsha. It leaves one in a beautiful state of mind, knowing that hearts can be so intertwined, both in body and in mind. This is a lovely piece of writing!

Best wishes,
/Kit

inot2b Thank you, it's so kind of you to read and comment on this. And thank you for the compliment, they don't in truth belong to me they should go to my special someone who constantly inspires me.

Kit, well thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I certainly loved writing it. As for saying it's a good poem, I think it's because I've got someone who brings out the best in me. So the complments are really for him, and I'll make sure he gets them.
Take care

In mind and spirit love shall grow as the passage in lent in the eyes and touch for sure.  Sounds like you had a either a nice dream last night or maybe just a wonderful night of sharing your love with your man.  Beautiful visions from you today.

Mark my friend, Mmmmm most defintely a night of wonder. He really is someone amazingly special, and I hope he realises quite how unique I find him. I think he has some idea, but that won't stop me from telling him. I might as well try to stop the tide coming in as to stop showing him just how I feel.
Anyway I thank you, and I'm glad you could make time to read this, I always appreciate your replies.

Sunny my new little sister, so glad you like this one. 2100, wow now that is an honour, it really is. You know just how much I love your work always, and I always am more than glad for you to drop by. So my happiness shows, well I'm glad about that too, but I never was the subtle type you know. (Comes from being the middle sister, it makes me naturally emphatic, aka noisy)
Take care

Sven, I'm pleased that you like this, and it's so nice of you to take the time to read and comment
