My muse is confused, feels neglected, abused,
as I haven’t been writing of late…
I’m unorganized, still my muse really tries to inspire,
and finally create…
She nudges with care, knowing I’m not aware,
of the restlessness building within…
But she always knows when I need to let go,
and let flow from my thoughts to my pen…

Sometimes late at night, by the flickering light,
I imagine her prescence is real…
She’s sitting right there in the opposite chair
with a smile that says just how she feels…
It doesn’t take long, if my words come out wrong,
for my muse to correct and convey…
Her method is fast, but her lesson will last,
to inspire the words I must say…

Sometimes it’s a song that’s been there all along,
as I’m writing she’s humming a tune…
She bids me to play in her muse-ical way,
and we sing by the light of the moon…
The words flow with ease, and I know that she sees
what a difference there is in my soul…
She’s ancient and wise, and I see through her eyes
that my writing is making me whole…

My muse is my guide, and I don’t have to hide
any feelings in words that I say…
She won’t let me rest ‘til I’ve written my best,
and I’ll write ‘til I do that someday…
Whatever it takes and whatever the stakes,
there is one thing just lately I’ve found…
When I need her most, she appears like a ghost
just to show me that she’s still around!!

Sunny oh girl this is sooooo great, and of course your muse is always near, who wouldn't enjoy the company of an angel. An extremely beautifully well written poem, obviously Ms Muse didn't even need to stir a finger in this one. Sunny, your work is excellent as always, and this is no exception.
Take care

Ahhh my dear sister of the blue pages, you have penned what so many of us feel so many times.  So, may I ask to borrow her as well when mine seems to take up an unscheduled vacation?  You know, between family and all.  Wonderful magical quill you have been blessed with from your muse on this one.  Loved it.

Hello Mark!!
Yes....you may borrow her anytime you like, but keep in mind she may lead you into some blue territory!! (Although I think your muse is capable of such wondrous things....my muse should take lessons!)
Well....you know every family has to have a black sheep, or in my case--a blue sheep, or as of late....a black and blue sheep!!
            Peace, my brother.......

Sunny, I know this one well, lately it seems my muse only wants to speak to me of sadness.
This is another great one.

Sunny1-Think your muse could come over some time and give my muse some pointers?, or do you ever just loan her out?  This was very nice.

Your muse's melancholy is only temporary, my sister.........it will pass, and the sun will shine on your heart again.
I'm wishing you peace...for the heart that's at peace is open to real love....

Hi Sunny,

My muse has also taken a break, but now is back at work.  I thought I'd stop by and look up some of your work.  Right now my web site is offline as I'm reorganzing and doing a bit of housekeeping.  I'll send you the "new" link once it get it back up and running.  I hope everything is okay with you, my friend and I wish you the very best.  Take care and keep writing.    Hey, e-mail me once in awhile.  I'd really like that.  Be happy

Michael
