awake..!

through the pane
of my window the morning
light came screaming am I awake
or still within my dreaming I was
scared there for a minute of
being in a foreign place

but my spirit
crossed
o’er and
back into this
muddled space &
of all the things
awake.

I love the rhyming flow in this composition; what an eloquent way to describe that Huh?What? Where am I? feeling
