I see the reflections of stars in your eyes
Beneath lilac heavens in the Texas skies

Strings of wind guitar strums to coyote songs
two shadows in moonlight dancing until dawn

haunting is the music within the Marfa lights
you my Texas cowboy in your cowboy hat of white

only sound of spurs upon blanket on the sand
jingle jangle music echos to the Rio Grande

Good morning Victoria,
I can hear that guitar stumming, as I play one myself, or I play at it. Glad I stopped to read your writing.

What a lovely, melodic piece Victoria ... seems Texas is the place to be! Cowboys, guitars, romance, and those spurs ... I enjoyed this!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Victoria, like cowboys who don't need to say much, this poem jangled it's way 'cross my brain in sound and verse...

I enjoyed it very much!
