I could never attempt forgiveness
nor dare I be the fool,
to explain my hearts trial
and let all slip away.
I am my souls decision
for which course I do take
and in frail eyes I see you
your tears consume my ache.
Of a distant memory revield
one of white satin dreams,
where the isle became our heaven
the windows of our names.
I could never attempt to say
what my heart has lost,
for in doing so admits defeat
and the times which we once won.

What a trial of sadness this conveys...

I could never attempt to say
what my heart has lost,
for in doing so admits defeat
and the times which we once won.

These lines strike directly home. Nicely
done, Micheal.

Michael, this is so very heartfelt.  Someone once told me that where God closes a door........He opens a window.  I hope this rings true for you.

Hugs,
Marina
