Just can’t shake it

a young tender sun
shone warm when I was fourteen
it was then for the first time I was dropped
into abeyance that’s right into the flickering
of loves gathering grasp your caressing
green eyes were as bright and
clear as the skies of
September
and I
knew right
then I had to have
them forever now so much time

has passed I wonder where its years have
gone last night I felt you flutter as I hovered
through lingering song I saw the days
when we gathered chestnuts and
I shined them on my jacket

still suspended o’er

where those
times had
gone and
left us and
how it came
to matter yet your

song just kept on playing

Writing isn't just something I do... it's something I am...
To write of feelings that touch all hearts
in some manner is my greatest delight...
[Marge Tindal]

Ah, exquisite - both in words, and the memories they bring back for me!  You know I kept those shiny smooth chestnuts in a row on my windowsill for many years!  Now, decades later, I don't know where they've gone, but I do know where YOU are!  You were, are, and ever will be MY tender sweet sun - the light of my life, my dearest!  Thank you.  Thank you.

With all my love, your wife,

Rosemary
