Black Cat Boogie
~*Marge Tindal*~

The calendar shows the day
Friday, the thirteenth it displays.
Time of rendering man to woogie,
catch him doing the black cat boogie !

Avoiding ladders of deceit,
as he meanders down the street.
Step not on the sidewalk crack
for fear of breaking mother's back !

Considered unlucky as it can be,
this day of heralded infamy.
LongJohn is on a sabbatical retreat
no Black Cat Boogie in his feet !

Come out - Come out !
you clever little kittens.
No worry of being booted
by LongJohn's steel-toed mittens !

Uh - Oh ...
What's that I hear ?
Retreat - Retreat
I fear he is quite near !

Scat you cat !
For though he up and went -
LongJohn will be back
with maliced boogie his intent !

Skiddle-Skattle little black cat !
It's Friday the thirteenth !
LongJohn knows about that !

The made me do it ! !

Wow Marge, this very cute and playful...heck you seem as if you've tapped into the animation/cartoon thing..maybe you should get into that or maybe write a childrens book cause you seem to have the talents for it.
Thanks for sharing this jubilant piece and have a nice day...oh and one more thing, thanks for telling me about Martie's poem!

And here I thought the black cat boogie was what mine does as she stomps up and down my trying to sleep body, looking for the most comfortable spot on the bed (which always seems to be on me! LOL!
I love this, Marge!

Yanno?....LongJohn had a Black Cat with sinus problems.....phlegm, and sneezing and boogies and all that other schtuff....It's now mounted on his bathroom wall.....He got tired of all the mess.....cat had to pee all the time from all the nasal spray it used, blowin' it's nose in his underwear etc.....Great poem though....just kinda made me think.....

Now see what you've gone and done... the sleeping "toe" has arisen. And Marge, I see you've got half your name... they told me at the stute they never heard of such a thing ever happening...

Now what..? dale
