A rendezvous in the park
and white swans on the pond
near the canterbury bells
in the garden i am fond

only the ripple of the water
as you cross over the bridge
and scent of sweet lavender
and a yellow buttercup ridge

I will be dressed in black
blended into the dark
on an ivy covered bench
waiting for you to embark

I will be waiting for you
under the chestnut tree
waiting to give you my love
to give you all of me

just the moonlight on my hair
as the blackbirds sleep
falling into your arms
on your shoulder i will weep

if we wish upon a star
maybe we can creep
into a dream lost forever
into a forever lovers sleep

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

Oh boy   "and scent of sweet lavender!"
and then we have the moonlight, and the ivy covered bench, and falling asleep in each other's arms, this one has it all. I can see this man coming across the bridge now!
