Give me words,
Beyond comparison,
Of the trees or the wind,
In October,
In Autumn's colorfully warm dreams.
Drizzle me with soda fizz,
Like liquid electricity
Music for memorable ears.
I remember the times,
When carefree was a constant state of mind.
Drink me in the rain,
Like once you did,
At that small town festival,
Standing there all smiles,
While people darted for cover.
Remember how thrilled we were,
To ride in the straw together?
Walking the haunted trail,
So calmly
While others wildly ran by,
From the men with chainless chainsaws?
At the fair you candied my heart,
With sugary caramel.
I was gooey and pliable,
To your fingering awe.
Give me visions once again,
Of dragons and crystal balls,
Suspended from my in love ears.
Tonight just let me fly,
Sharing spontaneous moments,
In my happy thought memory.
It isn't your presence,
But that state of mind I crave.

My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber.

Awe yes,

As a kid coming home from school I'd spot those piles of leaves people had so carefully raked into mounds... and I kick my way through them watching the wind take them and twril them dancing on the wind. But I don't remember, "drizzle me with soda fizz like liquid electricity" but I think Rosemary might. ha..!

Sven:
Yes..Wouldn't it be nice to relive it?   Would we enjoy it knowing what we know now, or would we have to forget about having grown up since? Thanks for reading.

dsnyder: Thanks for reading. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Victoria:  October makes me crave many things.   Thanks for reading and enjoying.

reject: Thank you.   Nice to know I'm not alone.

Great memories, eh?   I always liked to play hide and seek in the pile of leaves.  As for "drizzle me with soda fizz", I don't know where it came from. It just came, and it fit nicely with the feeling I was having when I wrote this. Hope it makes some sort of sense.   Thanks for reading!

Irish Rose:
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
