Lonely Cowgirl
(Response to SEA's Lonely Cowboy)

I've rode these trails once to often
And I don't see your horse anymore
I thought you were once like me
Kicking the dust, a true Earth being

You looked so pretty under summer's moon
Dusts in your hair, alive like the wind out there
We rode in the mountains, you couldn't get enough
Always so swift, I chased you with a cowboy's love

Your energy enthralled me; I loved you with the stars
The delicate mountain orchid, I gave you with my heart
You let it fly in the air, to fall alone along the valley rim
Then rode off to unknown trails, a spirit of the wind

I remember the moon in your eye's, on sweet summer nights
Many a lonely cowboy falls from your hold released like a kite
Love can be simple to the heart of a cowgirl, till time catches up
The soul has only one heart to give, and one life to feel its touch…

Years can go when your horse is swift with lifes glow,
All those trails that you ride, you don't even know
The horizon is all you see, the lure of a white sand beach
Buts its always ahead in the distance and beyond your reach…

Slow down and find love, its that blur beneath your feet,
Just a seed in the Earth, what you sow you shall reap.

What a perfect response to SEA's poem....you are one of the masters my friend....such truth and wisdom flowing through your pen and it speaks of experiences that teach if we allow them to.  SUPERB!!!

I never meant to offend.....what else can i say but I am sorry?
don't worry, I won't be back, if this is the forgiveness that a new poet is shown

Mark, thank you for that...both messages.

antibiotic, like I said in your first post,
you and your poetry is always welcome, forgiveness is not the issue.

Parker~ this is the first poem anyone has done like this for me.....you took my heart and held it, and you have made me happier than I have been in weeks. This is so beautiful. I felt every word. Thank you so much for doing this.   -Susan (SEA)

Parker, you would have to be one of the very few sensitive cowboys I have met. This lovely poem shows you are just that.

awesome lines parker..

and "slow down" is often the best advise..i know many who keep too busy for love..they miss out.. thats just not something i want to miss out on...
