Please do not try to tell me
That I'm so very sweet.
Don't tell me about women
That I will one day meet.

"Some woman will be lucky
To get you. You will see"
"Just so that you understand
That woman won't be me"

"My boyfriend's gonna like you"
They tell you at the end
Of the dinner with the lobster
You two will be sure friends.

"It isn't you ..." They say,
With a liars keen aplomb.
"I am just not ready"
I must look really dumb !

The sucker finally got the joke
The three card Monty's done.
The pigeon finally knows the trick
There is no "the right one"

Some men see things as they are and ask "WHY ?" I see things as they could be and ask "WHY NOT ?"

TLS~ I know what this feels like, but I also know what it's like to find that "right one". This is very sad and full of hurt, but I love the way you wrote it.   -SEA

What is worse is when someone says they love you and they do not mean it..there is someone out there for everyone..but dont buy lobster unless you are engaged ..maybe a few shrimps haa..and hopefully she wont be allergic to shellfish like me..my lips blow up like a blowfish haa..im a cheap date haa..

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

This poem left me with the urge to scream out,
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo!!!"
It's so sad to see people lose their faith in love...
There was a time that I refused to believe that love was real...
I though all people in love were either fools or liars...
And anyone who's lost the will to believe in love is not expected to regain faith until it actually happens...
But if you're a good person, it WILL happen...

The poem was sad, but great still...  I hope you will decide to post more often, for I will certainly be looking for your poems.

Paula, SpitFire, SEA, Victoria, Butterflies,
natelan,

Having friends read your feelings and understand what you were feeling means a lot. But learning from our mistakes and not making the same mistakes over and over and over again is also very important. They say that the smartest fighters are the ones who know when to stay on the canvas. I consider myself smarter now
